Excessive heat input can cause discoloration, deformation or cracking, while marking curved or uneven surfaces requires the laser beam to remain precisely focused throughout the marking process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TYKMA Electrox Zetalase\u2122 XL UV 3D<\/strong> combines UV laser technology with dynamic 3D focusing and is designed for permanent, high-precision marking with minimal thermal impact on the material.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UV laser for minimal heat impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The system uses a <strong>355 nm UV laser<\/strong>. Its short wavelength enables a photochemical process with very little heat transferred to the surrounding material \u2013 often referred to as <em>cold marking<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is particularly valuable when marking materials where conventional laser processing could cause melting, deformation, discoloration or microcracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The technology is particularly suitable for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>sensitive plastics and polymers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>glass and transparent materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electronics and printed circuit boards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>medical devices and components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sensors and optical components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>small components requiring extremely fine details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is permanent, high-contrast marking with a very small heat-affected zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dynamic 3D focusing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key features of the Zetalase XL UV 3D is its dynamic focusing system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike a conventional 2D system, the laser focus can automatically adapt to the geometry of the component. With a <strong>40 mm dynamic focus range<\/strong>, the system can maintain accurate focus across curved, angled, stepped or otherwise three-dimensional surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The component&#8217;s 3D geometry can be imported using an <strong>STL file<\/strong>, allowing the system to adapt the marking to the shape of the surface and compensate for optical distortion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This enables text, graphics, serial numbers, barcodes and Data Matrix codes to be marked with consistent quality even when the marking extends across different height levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High detail for demanding applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The combination of the UV laser&#8217;s short wavelength and dynamic 3D focusing makes the technology particularly suitable for applications involving both very fine details and complex geometries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One example is the medical device industry, where permanent UDI marking may be required on small components and medical-grade plastics without adversely affecting the properties of the material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the electronics industry, the technology can also be used to produce extremely small, high-contrast markings on components where heat input must be kept to an absolute minimum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Designed for industrial production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zetalase XL UV 3D is a fully enclosed laser system designed for industrial production.
