Automated welding
When the laser welder is mounted on the cobot, the robot arm can automatically position the welding head and perform the welding process. The operator defines the start and end point of the weld seam, ensuring a consistent and repeatable welding process.
The cobot control system also allows programming of more advanced welding patterns or repetitive production tasks, improving both productivity and process accuracy.
Manual welding when required
The system is designed to easily switch between automated and manual welding. When manual welding is required, the welding handle can quickly be detached from the cobot and used as a traditional handheld laser welding tool.
This flexibility makes the system suitable for production environments where tasks vary between automated and manual operations.
Safe laser welding with Safecell
The system can be integrated into a Safecell safety enclosure, ensuring a safe working environment for laser welding.
If the safety doors are opened during operation, the laser beam is immediately interrupted to prevent accidental exposure. This safety system helps meet the requirements for laser safety in industrial environments.
