Lasermet ICS-RBX – Wireless Roller Blind Controller

Lasermet ICS-RBX Wireless Roller Blind Controller is an expansion card for the ICS-9 Interlock Controller, designed for wireless operation of Lasermet’s motorised Laser Blocking Roller Blinds.

ICS-RBX integrates roller blind control with the laser area’s interlock system and supports both automatic and remote operation.

Designed for the ICS-9

ICS-RBX fits directly into one of the standard expansion card positions in the Lasermet ICS-9 and adds control of wireless roller blind motors to the interlock system.

This allows the operation of the blinds to become an integrated part of the laser installation’s control and safety system.

Automatic Operation

In automatic mode, operation of the blinds can be linked to the ICS-9 key-switch.

  • The blinds close when the ICS-9 key-switch is set to Armed.
  • The blinds open when the key-switch is set to Disarmed.

This allows the laser safety blinds to automatically move to the appropriate position as the laser area is armed or disarmed.

Remote Control with ICS-BUDDY

ICS-RBX can also be combined with ICS-BUDDY and an ICS-BUDDY-NIC card for remote operation of the roller blinds.

The ICS-BUDDY portable controller provides controls for opening and closing the blinds remotely, providing additional flexibility in larger laser installations and laboratory environments.

Built-in Controls

The expansion card incorporates controls for local operation and configuration:

  • Up
  • Down
  • Stop
  • Program

An optional flying-lead switch can also be used for setting the blind limits.

Part of a Complete Laser Safety System

ICS-RBX is designed for use with the Lasermet ICS-9 and Laser Blocking Roller Blinds, allowing motorised laser safety blinds to be integrated with other safety functions within the laser controlled area.

Lasermet’s roller blinds can also be fitted with dual-channel interlock switches to prevent the laser from being armed while the blind is open.
