Precitec MiniCutter – Compact Cutting Head for 2D and 3D Applications
Precitec MiniCutter is a compact and lightweight laser cutting head for efficient 2D and 3D cutting with fiber lasers up to 4 kW. Its slim design, low weight and fast distance control make MiniCutter particularly suitable for thin materials, complex components and applications where high dynamics and accessibility are important.
MiniCutter can be used both in flat-sheet cutting systems and for processing three-dimensional components. The combination of compact design, flexible optical configurations and Precitec sensor technology makes the laser head a versatile solution for industrial laser cutting.
For 2D and 3D laser cutting
MiniCutter is designed for laser cutting of primarily thinner metallic materials and can be used in both 2D and 3D applications.
When processing complex three-dimensional components, the fast distance control helps maintain a stable distance between the nozzle and the workpiece. This is important for maintaining a consistent and reproducible cutting process even when the geometry of the component changes.
The slim design also provides good accessibility when processing highly formed and curved components, for example in robot-based 3D applications.
Compact and lightweight design
With a width and depth of only 50 × 50 mm and a weight of approximately 1.4 kg, MiniCutter is a very compact laser cutting head. Its low weight is particularly beneficial in dynamic machines and robotic applications, where low moving mass can contribute to faster and more precise movements.
MiniCutter is designed as a compact Plug & Play solution and can be adapted to customer-specific Z-axes.
Flexible optical configuration
Different focusing focal lengths allow MiniCutter to be adapted to the specific application. Precitec offers focusing focal lengths from 75 to 150 mm depending on the configuration.
The focus position can be adjusted externally, simplifying setup and optimisation of the cutting process.
Protected optics and easy maintenance
The optics are protected against molten spatter, metal vapours and other process-related contamination by a replaceable protective window.
The protective window cartridge can be replaced quickly and without tools, simplifying routine maintenance and reducing the time required for service operations.
The sealed beam path also helps protect the internal optical components and provides stable conditions for industrial operation.
