TYKMA Electrox Zetalase XL

TYKMA Electrox Zetalase XL

Zetalase XL is a robust, floor-standing laser marking machine developed for industrial production environments with high demands on capacity, flexibility and ergonomics. Its generous working area makes the system suitable for both large components and efficient marking of multiple smaller parts within the same production cycle.

Laser Marking for Demanding Industrial Production

TYKMA Electrox Zetalase XL is designed for manufacturing environments where laser marking is an important part of everyday production.

The large, enclosed workstation provides ample space for fixtures, larger components or trays containing multiple parts. The combination of a large working area, automatic door and programmable focus height makes Zetalase XL particularly suitable for repetitive production and higher marking volumes.

The system is designed for industrial operation and combines high marking quality with an ergonomic and efficient workflow.

Large Working Area and High Flexibility

One of the key advantages of Zetalase XL is its generous working area.

The worktable measures approximately 750 × 600 mm and features T-slots for easy installation of fixtures and adaptation to different components.

The large working area makes it possible to handle both larger products and fixtures containing multiple smaller parts. For applications where marking is required over an even larger area, the system can be equipped with linear axes.

Rotary units can also be integrated for marking around cylindrical components.

Automatic Door for Efficient Production

Zetalase XL is equipped with a vertically opening pneumatic door with an integrated safety system.

In automatic operating mode, a new marking cycle can be initiated when the door is closed. This creates a fast and natural workflow for repetitive production where the operator continuously loads and unloads parts.

The design reduces unnecessary handling and contributes to good ergonomics, even at higher production volumes.

Programmable Focus Height

Zetalase XL features programmable focus height adjustment. The setting is controlled through the system software, allowing the position of the laser head to be automatically adapted to different products and component heights.

This is particularly useful when several different products are marked using the same system or when production involves frequent product changeovers.

Correct focusing is essential for achieving high and repeatable marking quality.

Adapted to Your Material and Application

Zetalase XL is a flexible system platform that can be configured with different laser technologies depending on the material, product and desired marking result.

For industrial marking of metals and many engineering plastics, fibre or MOPA fibre lasers are typically used.

For other materials and applications, configurations with technologies such as CO₂ or UV lasers are also available.

LMI helps you select the right laser source, power, optics and system configuration based on your material, production volume and marking requirements.

What Can Be Marked with Zetalase XL?

With the appropriate laser source, Zetalase XL can be used for permanent marking of a wide range of industrial materials, including:

  • Stainless steel
  • Steel
  • Aluminium and anodised aluminium
  • Titanium
  • Brass and other metals
  • Carbide
  • Many types of engineering plastics
  • Painted and coated components
  • Organic and other materials using suitable laser technology

The materials that can be processed and the results that can be achieved depend on the selected laser technology, wavelength, power and material properties.

Typical Applications

Zetalase XL is well suited to industrial product marking and traceability applications where capacity and repeatability are important, including:

  • Serial numbers and part numbers
  • Data Matrix codes and QR codes
  • Barcodes
  • Logos and graphical symbols
  • Product and manufacturing information
  • Nameplates and identification plates
  • Tools and machine components
  • Automotive components
  • Electronic components
  • Medical technology components
  • UID and traceability marking
  • Marking multiple components within the same fixture

Laser marking provides a permanent mark and normally requires no consumables such as inks, labels or chemicals.

Designed for Integration and Traceability

In modern industrial production, the marking process itself is often only one part of the overall manufacturing process.

Zetalase XL can be integrated into production environments where information needs to be retrieved from other systems and marking data needs to be linked to the individual product.

Depending on the system configuration, the solution can be integrated with systems such as networks, databases, PLCs and barcode readers.

This makes Zetalase XL suitable for applications where automated identification and traceability are essential parts of the production process.

Marking Cylindrical and Large Components

For components that need to be marked around their circumference, Zetalase XL can be equipped with a rotary unit for 360° marking.

The system can also be complemented with linear axes to move the component or marking position across a larger area.

This allows the same basic system to be adapted to considerably more advanced applications than traditional marking within a fixed marking field.

Advantages of Zetalase XL

  • Robust floor-standing design for industrial environments
  • Generous working area
  • T-slot worktable for flexible fixturing
  • Automatic pneumatic vertical door
  • Automatic operating mode for efficient series production
  • Programmable Focus Height
  • High marking quality and repeatability
  • Choice of different laser technologies
  • Integrated PC and operator interface
  • Possibility for network and production integration
  • Can be equipped with a rotary unit for 360° marking
  • Linear axis options for larger working areas
  • Low maintenance requirements
  • No inks, dyes or other consumables required for the marking process

A System That Can Grow with Your Production

Zetalase XL can be configured for a relatively traditional manual production environment while also offering the possibility to expand into more advanced marking processes.

Fixtures, rotary units, linear axes, database connections and other functions can be used to create a solution tailored to the specific production requirements.

This makes Zetalase XL particularly attractive for companies looking to invest in a platform that can be adapted as production requirements evolve.

Which Configuration Do You Need?

Selecting the right laser marking system involves much more than simply choosing laser power.

Material, surface treatment, desired marking result, cycle time, component size, fixturing and traceability requirements all influence how the system should be configured.

LMI has extensive experience in industrial laser technology and can assist throughout the entire process – from sample marking and selection of the laser source to fixturing, system configuration, installation and commissioning.

We can also provide training to ensure that operators and production engineers are able to make the best possible use of the system’s capabilities.

Send Us a Part for Sample Marking

Are you unsure which laser or system configuration is best suited to your product?

Send us a part or material sample and we will help you evaluate the application. We can carry out sample marking and assess factors such as contrast, marking speed, level of detail and the most suitable laser technology.

If required, we can also discuss fixturing, automation, cycle times and how the marking system can be integrated into your production process.

This allows the right solution to be verified before making an investment decision.

*The size of the marking field depends on the selected optics, laser technology and system configuration.
