Lasermet LED Ultra Signs – LED Laser Warning Signs
Lasermet LED Ultra Signs are professional backlit LED warning signs designed to provide clear status and safety information around laser installations. Designed for indoor use, they are suitable for entrances to laser cells, laser controlled areas, laboratories and other controlled environments.
Unlike pixelated LED matrix displays, Ultra Signs use a backlit design that provides smooth, clear text and graphics. The signs are available in two sizes and can be configured with either single or dual messages.
Clear Status Indication
LED Ultra Signs can clearly communicate the current status of a laser controlled area. They can indicate, for example, when a laser is active, when access is prohibited or when an area is safe to enter.
Standard versions are available with white, yellow, green and red illumination. Other colours can be provided on request.
Single or Dual Message
Ultra Signs are available as both single and dual message signs. A dual message sign can switch between two different messages according to the current status of the laser installation.
A typical configuration can provide:
- Red: warning or laser active
- Green: safe condition or access permitted
The displayed status can be controlled by the laser installation’s interlock or safety system.
Standard and Custom Messages
Lasermet provides a wide range of standard messages and symbols. Ultra Signs can also be supplied with customised wording and graphics for specific installations.
Available messages and functions include:
- Laser Radiation
- Laser Operational
- Laser Power On
- Do Not Enter / Enter
- Access Prohibited / Access Allowed
- Room Available / Room In Use
- Open / Closed
This allows the same sign range to be used for laser status, access control and other safety-related information.
Two Sizes – 470 and 790 mm
LED Ultra Signs are available in two widths to suit different installation environments:
- LEDS-ULT-470: 470 × 178 × 24 mm
- LEDS-ULT-790: 790 × 178 × 24 mm
The 470 model provides a 340 × 90 mm area for the message and graphics, while the larger 790 model provides 660 × 90 mm.
Only 24 mm Deep
Despite their large and clearly visible display area, Ultra Signs are only 24 mm deep. The low-profile design makes them suitable for wall mounting even in passageways and other areas where protruding equipment should be minimised.
Stack Up to Four Signs
Multiple Ultra Signs can be combined to display different types of information in the same location. Up to four signs can be mounted together.
Lasermet provides dedicated backboxes for two, three or four signs, together with wall, ceiling and flush mounting options. This provides flexibility where several status messages need to be displayed in one location.
Automatic or Manual Control
Ultra Signs can be integrated with the laser installation’s interlock system so that the displayed information automatically follows the current status of the safety system.
Lasermet also provides a separate 24 VDC Power Supply and Switch that combines power supply and manual switching of the sign messages in a compact unit.

Integration with Laser Interlock Systems
LED Ultra Signs can be combined with Lasermet interlock controllers, door interlocks, door locks and other safety components to create an integrated laser safety system.
This allows the appropriate safety information to be displayed automatically according to laser status, door status or whether access to the laser controlled area is permitted.
