Dolphin Pod Lite – flexible laser safety enclosure for handheld laser welding
Dolphin Pod Lite from Lasermet is a lightweight, modular and freestanding laser safety enclosure designed for handheld laser welding. The system combines a lightweight frame with Lasermet Dolphin Laser Blocking Curtains, making it possible to quickly create a screened working area that helps protect people nearby from unwanted laser radiation.
The solution is particularly suitable for temporary or changing work areas where the enclosure needs to be assembled, moved and rebuilt without extensive installation work.
Fast and flexible installation
Dolphin Pod Lite is designed for quick assembly. The frame consists of lightweight tubes with spring-loaded locking buttons that click together without the need for extensive tooling.

The enclosure can be dismantled, transported and reassembled when the layout of the workplace changes.
Dolphin Laser Blocking Curtains
The enclosure uses Dolphin Laser Blocking Curtains as the protective barrier. The curtain material is certified according to EN 12254 – Screens for Laser Working Places and is designed for industrial laser installations.
The flexible curtain material makes it possible to combine a high level of protection with a lightweight and portable construction.
Interlock-ready
Dolphin Pod Lite can be upgraded with Lasermet’s Interlock® system. Depending on the configuration, the upgrade can include:
- safety interlock switch
- LED warning sign with dual messages
- emergency stop
- Lasermet Interlock® Controller.
This allows the enclosure to be integrated with the other safety functions of the laser installation and form part of a more complete laser safety solution.
